Onyx is not a workhorse counter stone for everyone. Diamond Onyx is usually chosen for walls, bars, and niches where the material can be lit and seen as a single plane. Each slab has its own banding rhythm. Fabrication needs planning so the best movement sits at eye level and cuts are minimized across the face. It needs careful handling and sealing in wet zones. Where it is used well, it becomes the focal point of the room without extra decoration.
